Bathroom fans should not exhaust into the attic, they should exhaust outside. It can sometimes be difficult to penetrate the roof, particularly for do-it-yourselfers, and if the job isn't done perfectly roof penetrations can be prone to leaks. These exhaust vents allow you to exhaust bathroom fans out through the soffit. They will mount flush so won't detract from the appearance of the house, and include a flapper that will open to let exhaust air out and close when the fan isn't operating. The fans will connect to either 4 or 5 inch duct or flex hose. The housings are plastic, and are available in either white, or brown.
