The E-Z Hatch® Attic Access Door is an air-tight, high-performance, energy-efficient attic access scuttle door. It is R-50 or R-80, triple-gasketed, pre-finished, and fits in a 22 ½” x 30 ½” rough opening. The E-Z Hatch Attic Access Door Panel Hatch System is easy to install, easy to use, and features a highly insulated door, panel, scuttle hatch system that has an option that includes a secure 4 point locking latch and handles. It provides an air sealed, professional, high-quality, insulated access opening into the attic space. The E-Z Hatch Attic Door can be used for new construction and retrofit. The locking model can be used in knee walls as well as attic entry.
The E-Z Hatch Attic Door with Lock is the only scuttle/attic access hatch kit available that meets the 2015 and 2018 International Conservation Code (IECC) Section R402.2.4 and the 2015 and 2018 International Residential Code (IRC) n1102.2.4 and Energy Star Thermal Bypass requirements used in all 50 states.
